【Abstract】 With Rousseau’s discovery of"children "in the 18 th century,the romantic poets succeeded in capturing the traits in"childhood" which was further endowed with social and historical significance in the 19 th century England.And the 1740 s witnessed the establishment of the world’s first bookstore for children in London and the successive reforms in children’s education.In the meantime,the classic fairy tales and folktales translated and imported from Europe into England quickened the devastation of didacticism in children’s literature.With all that,finally,the English children’s fantasy came into being in the 1950 s,bringing with it the Golden Age in the world’s children’s literature.更多还原
