班级规模对课堂教学和学习影响及作用机制研究——以大学英语课堂为例
A Study on the Impact of Class Size on Classroom Teaching and Study and Its Mechanism——Based on College English Classroom Teaching
【摘要】 本研究通过教学实验和调查问卷考察了小班、大班和特大班三个不同班级规模大学英语课堂对课堂教学、学习过程和学生成绩的影响。研究发现:(1)班级规模和学生成绩之间存在相关性;(2)班级规模对学生成绩并不产生直接的影响,而是通过影响师生关系、课堂师生互动、课堂组织等各种与课堂教学相关的因素,间接地对学生成绩产生作用;(3)班级规模影响学生对教学效果的满意度,班级规模越大,学生对课堂教学效果的满意度越低。
【Abstract】 This study attempts to investigate the impact of small,large and super-large college English classes on classroom teaching,learning and students’ achievements. It is found that class size is correlated with students ’ achievements,and that class size impacts class teaching related factors like pupil-instructor relations,classroom interaction and class management,thus producing an indirect effect on students’ achievements. It is also found that students’ satisfaction of teaching effects decreases with the expansion of class size.
