碳纳米管网格对碳纤维复合材料层间剪切性能的影响
EFFECT OF CARBON NANOTUBE NETWORKS ON THE INTERLAMINAR SHEAR PERFORMANCE OF CARBON FIBER REINFORCED LAMINATES
【摘要】 采用正压过滤法制备了不同厚度的多壁碳纳米管(Multi-walled carbon nanotubes,MWNTs)网格,并将制得的MWNTs网格并入碳纤维层合板的层间界面,研究了网格对层合板II型层间断裂韧性(GIIC)和层间剪切强度(ILSS)的影响.结果表明,约20!m厚的多孔MWNTs网格使复合材料的GIIC和ILSS分别提高了约69%和24%.微观断面表明,连续的纳米网格显著提高了碳纤维和树脂基体的界面粘接性能,在剪力作用下,从典型的树脂脆性断裂以及纤维-树脂界面脱粘过渡到MWNTs增强树脂区域内的韧性断裂,一定厚度的MWNTs网格对层间区域起到了良好的增韧效应.
【Abstract】 A positive pressure filtering method was used to prepare multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWNTs)networks with various thicknesses.The obtained networks were incorporated into interlaminar interface of a carbon fiber reinforced laminate.Mode II interlaminarfracture toughness(GIIC)and interlaminar shear strength(ILSS)were measured to evaluate the effect of MWNTs networks on the shear properties of the laminate.Results have shown that the GIICand ILSS were enhanced by 69%and 24%,respectively,when the thickness of the network was nearly 20!m.The fractured surfaces showed that the interfacial bonding between carbon fibers and matrix resin was significantly improved by interleaving the continuous nanoscale network.The fracturepatterns weretransformed fromtraditional brittle rupture of resin and debonding between fibers and resin to ductile rupture of MWNTs toughened resin rich zone.The MWNTs network with proper thickness has good toughening effect on the interlaminar zone.
