【Abstract】 Scientists of the ITV have propoesd reducing considerable amounts of energy in the textile finishing industry by using a combination of corona pretreatment and spray application of surface-effective finishing agents.This approach was tested in cooperation with partners from textile finishing and mechanical engineering as weel as textile auxiliary manufacturers. Besides the ITV,the mechanical engineering company Ahlbrandt System and the textile finishing company Knopf ’s Sohn had key positions in the triannual project.
