光纤损耗对双环注入锁定光电振荡器相噪的影响
The effect of fiber loss on the phase noise of dual-loop injectionlocked opto-electronic oscillator
【摘要】 考虑到光纤的延时损耗,对双环注入锁定光电振荡器(OEO)建立了理论解析模型;基于建立的模型,研究了光纤损耗对对其相位噪声的影响。通过实验验证了所建模型的正确性,并得出:如考虑光纤的损耗,振荡信号的相噪并非随着光纤长度的增加而降低,当光纤长度增加到一定程度时,光纤的损耗会影响到振荡信号的相噪,使得光电混合谐振腔的品质因子(Q)降低,最终相噪会随之呈现增加的趋势。本文研究成果能够在工程中得到广泛应用,可为获取最佳长度光纤延时线提供参考。
【Abstract】 Considering the loss of fiber delay line,a new theoretical analytical model for the dual-loop injection-locked opto-electronic(OEO)is proposed and the effect of the fiber loss on the phase noise of OEO is also studied based on this new model.Experiments are conducted to verify the validity,and the results show that the phase noise of oscillation signal does not decrease with the length of fiber if its loss is considered.With the increase of fiber′s length,its loss is growing gradually and reduces the quality factor of the opto-electronic hybrid resonant cavity,and ultimately enhances the phase noise.The results reported in this paper can be applied in engineering application,and provide theory and data support for obtaining the optimal length of fiber delay line of low-phase noise OEO.
