基于基站休眠的蜂窝网络节能技术研究

【摘要】 指数增长的数据业务与高速移动的接入需求使得蜂窝网络基础设施需求急剧扩大,由此也增加了蜂窝网络的能量消耗与运营成本。移动互联网应用特点决定了移动业务的动态变化,用户移动性与作息规律使得业务负载具有明显的空时变化特性。根据业务负载空时变化,可将低业务负载小区的基站调整为休眠(关闭)状态减小能耗,以此为基础的节能技术具有实际应用前景。本文首先对蜂窝网络能量消耗现状进行分析,说明蜂窝网络节能技术与能效优化的重要性;然后,针对蜂窝网络基站休眠技术的能效优化相关研究现状进行了综述;最后,对基站休眠技术及其能效优化研究进行了总结与分析。

【Abstract】 With the exponential growth of data service and the demand of high-speed mobile access, the requirement for the infrastructure of the cellular networks is rapidly expanding, which makes the energy consumption and operating costs of cellular networks increasing sharply. Since mobile application characteristics lead to the dynamic changes of mobile traffic, user mobility and work schedule make the traffic load has obvious time variation characteristics. According to the variation of traffic load, the base station with low traffic load can be turned off to reduce energy consumption. Therefore, the energy saving technology based on the base station sleeping has practical prospective. Firstly, the energy consumption of cellular networks is analyzed, from which we can notice the importance of energy saving technology and energy efficiency optimization. Then, the research status of the energy efficiency optimization of base station sleeping in cellular network is summarized. Finally, the research trend of the base station sleeping technology and the energy efficiency optimization are concluded.
