【摘要】 通俗教育是晚清新政时期倡导开民智、立新民的产物,通俗教育不仅被时人赋予了"普及教育"的重任,还具有移风易俗、改良社会风气、开通社会文明之功效。因此,通俗教育的推行多立足于底层社会,注重与戏曲、小说、演讲等大众娱乐方式相结合,以达到润物无声之功效。这些通俗教育活动虽然没有达到最初设想之成绩,但仍然在一定程度上对底层民众起到了思想启蒙、普及现代社会文化知识、改良社会风气等作用。更多还原

【Abstract】 Popular education is a product of opening intelligence and developing new people advocated in the New Deal period of the late Qing Dynasty, which gives people not only the important task of "universal education", but also an effect of transforming social traditions, improving social ethos, and promoting social civilization. Therefore, the implementation of the popular education mainly based on the underlying social, paid attention to the combination of the mass entertainment such as drama, fiction and speech, in order to achieve the effect of changing in quiet.
