1.5~2.7GHz宽带高效率混合连续类功率放大器设计
Design of 1.5-2.7 GHz Broadband High-Efficiency Hybrid Continuous Modes Power Amplifier
【摘要】 基于混合连续型功率放大器进行1.5~2.7 GHz宽带高效率功放设计。功率管电流源平面的最优阻抗结合功率管等效输出寄生模型计算得到封装端面的阻抗解,利用Load-pull技术确定各频点的高效率的谐波阻抗区域。基于封装端面最优阻抗结合特定的谐波控制网络进行输出匹配网络的设计。所实现的宽带高效率功率放大器在1.4~2.7 GHz频段内饱和漏极效率40.3~42.2 d Bm,饱和漏极效率为70.4%~78.3%。峰均比为6 d B的单载波宽带5 MHz WCDMA信号测试下,当ACLR临界低于-30 d Bc时,平均输出功率为35.2~38.1 d Bm,平均漏极效率为42.2%~50.8%。
【Abstract】 This paper utilizes hybrid continuous modes to design a 1.5- 2.7 GHz wideband high-efficiency power amplifier( PA).The optimal impedances at the current generator plane are transferred to the package plane based on the approximated equivalent network of device output parasitic model.Load-pull technology is employed to determine the highefficiency harmonic impedance regions at different frequencies.The output matching networks are synthesized based on the optimal impedances at the package plane combined with the specific harmonic control network.The released broadband high-efficiency PA delivers the saturation output power of 40.3- 42.2 d Bm with the drain efficiency of 70.4 %-78.3 % across the band from 1.4- 2.7 GHz.Additionally,tested by a single-carrier 5 MHz WCDMA signal with the peak-to-average power ratio( PAPR) of 6 d B,a measured average drain efficiency of 42.2 %- 50.8 % is achieved at an average output power of 35.2- 38.1 d Bm from 1.4- 2.7 GHz when an adjacent channel leakage ratio( ACLR) is about- 30 d Bc.
