【Abstract】 Since 1990 s,there has been revolutionary changes in global communication technology;the nation-states are having more open immigration policies; and there are more and more well-educated individuals and families,with an increase in the population of bilingual intellectuals. All these factors have enhanced immensely the cross-border mobility of immigrants. Under such circumstances,Chinese immigrants have gradually realized the importance of keeping identities in both their residence countries and their home land in order to maximize their personal interest and the social welfare as well. They have frankly stated that immigrating individuals and communities,as non-stateactors in the interdependent world,will have more opportunities to explore the possible path and mode for the development of the relations between immigrants and countries.更多还原
