To investigate the salt tolerance of different rootstocks of eggplant, Solanum torvum, Solanum integgrifl ium, Solanum texanum and Solanum sisymbriifl ium were chosen for testing the relationships of salt tolerance with salt injury index, Na+ and K+ contents, Na+/K+ ratio and the SK, Na of transport in root and shoot.
