【Abstract】 This paper sorted out the spiritual development in Zhang Wei’s ninth novel Wasteland Chronicle through studying the fall of last home,the soul of plains,the origin of evil of plains,spiritual belief of plains and where plains are in the text.His novel showed the negative factors affected society harmony caused by fast development of industry.The fast development of industry also influenced the construction of harmonious society and the loss of environmental ethics.This novel is not only a history about plains,but also a spiritual chronicle for the generation born after 1950s.The powerful spiritual force embodied in the novel has an important effect on our construction of human and nature,people and people,human and society.更多还原
