【Abstract】 Postoperative complications after radical resection for rectal cancer in the early period include intraoperative surgical injury,bleeding,infections,and anastomotic leakage. Moreover,long-term complications include sexual disturbance and dysfunction of defecation and urination and also stoma. These complications remain a challenge for postoperative management. More attention should be paid to preventive interventions in order to reduce the complications. Improvement of the diagnosis and treatment of post-operative complications is imperative to reduce morbidity and mortality and to improve the life quality of patients with rectal cancers.更多还原
