【Abstract】 Transforming growth factor beta( TGF-β) is a multifunctional cytokine with a key role in tissue homeostasis and cancer progression. Recent research suggests that TGF-β is a potent immunosuppressant cytokine,can promote tumor growth,invasion and metastasis through suppression of immune system to recognize and kill tumor cells,and blocking of TGF-β signaling in the immune system cells can significantly enhance the anti-tumor immune response.
