Chitosan was prepared with glutaraldehyde as cross-linking agent,and then characterized by scanning electron microscope(SEM),infrared method and differential scanning calorimeter to study the adsorption behavior of cross-linked chitosan to common metal ions.It showed that,the adsorption reaction could reach equilibrium within 20min;the equilibrium adsorption capacity to Cd2+,Pb2+,Zn2+,Ag+,Co2+and Cu2+was 15.5,38.5,7.9,22.4,27.2,12.6mg/g,respectively.The adsorption mechanism was also discussed by X-ray photo...
