【Abstract】 Aimed at solving the problem of the lack of geological pattern design in such software as CorelDRAW,Surfer and Grapher,the authors,based on the spatial distribution regularity of geological patterns,put forward an automation method for producing patterns using Visual Basic 2010 in CorelDRAW X4. Such features as size,density and color in the produced patterns can be adjusted according to the need of the mapping.
