【Abstract】 Most of the characters in Harold Pinter’s plays are of humble birth.In order to occupy certain living space,they always fight against each other in different kinds of ways.For them,a small space is not only the material guarantee of their existence,but also the symbol of wealth,power and identity which is closely related to the construction of their self-identity and spiritual world.The space struggle in Pinter’s plays is the epitome of social life in the special period.Through the description of the space struggle,Pinter’s plays reveal the nature of human beings and indicate their gloomy future as well.更多还原
