The subject librarian faces the challenges posed by the new information environment,which include key disciplines construction,new technology fusion and information needs changes. Based on the analysis of innovation practice of subject services in libraries at home and abroad,the paper suggests that the subject service should promote the development of discipline connotation,improve the quality of fostering talent,and strength the service strategy transformation of disciplinary comprehensive competiveness.
