【Abstract】 Ecological ethics in ancient China is a virtue theory tradition with its own characteristics.The thought takes human being’s subjective status as the departure point and cares about the universe.It is in agreement with ecological protection in that it advocates benefiting oneself so benefiting other human beings,creatures and nature.Its lifestyle with intrinsic ecological virtues can help to promote reasonable changes in contemporary people’s lifestyle.Furthermore,the moral motivating force produced in the moral cultivation method of following the examples of sages and saints can help to dissolve the negative effects of modern Western environmental ethics,and inspire people to morally care about nature and environment more initiatively and more consciously.更多还原
