【Abstract】 The incarnation of personality and visualization of ancestors in the 14th-century Oyo period,the performance of female chorus on the cult ceremonies,and the masked performance form the Yoruba tragedy and initiate the history of Nigerian drama. Masks,songs and dances in the Yoruba tragedy consist of the most important elements in modern African drama performance. The Nigerian Nobel Prize playwright Wole Soyinka inherits the Yoruba tragedy tradition to criticize the political realities in Nigeria and emphasizes the spiritual and redeeming values in Yoruba traditional culture.更多还原
