【Abstract】 Based on an exploration of John Sinclair’s contributions to corpus linguistics,this paper proposes six guiding principles for conducting corpus-driven research within phraseology,i. e. focusing on novel and authentic linguistic data,insisting on describing meaning units,delving into collocational frameworks,integrating meaning and structure,integrating grammar and lexis,and integrating the idiom principle and the open-choice principle. Hopefully,these principles will serve to guide and promote the teaching and research of formulaic language in China.更多还原
