复合方形环近零折射率超材料的高增益特性研究

【摘要】 设计了一种由4个方形环和4个金属片组成的复合方形环单元结构,并将其周期排列,形成了近零折射率超材料。该超材料的近零频段为6.17 GHz到6.26 GHz。将其置放在微带贴片天线正上方处,采用有限元法(FEM)和时域有限差分法(FDTD)对该超材料测试系统进行了仿真分析,两种方法的仿真结果吻合较好,证实了计算方法结果的有效性。结果表明,复合方形环近零折射率超材料有高增益高定向的特性,可以应用于天线中,提高增益。

【Abstract】 In this paper,a composite square loop unit cell composed of four square loops and four metallic patches was designed. It is arranged periodically forming near-zero-index metamaterial and the refraction index of this metamaterial is near zero from 6. 17 GHz to 6. 26 GHz. This metamaterial is placed right above conventional patch antenna,and then this test system was simulated and analyzed by finite element method(FEM) and finite difference time domain(FDTD) method. The simulation results of the two methods are basically identical and show the effectiveness of the results by the two methods.The simulation results all show near-zero-index metamaterial have the ability to improve gain. Obviously,near-zero-index metamaterial can be applied in antenna to improve its gain.
