【Abstract】 Theoretically approaching from structure equilibrium theory,human resources development theory,humanistic value theory and political economics,this author argues that Yi Fuxian’s demographic thinking embodies optimism and humanistic value and thus associates with national development strategy on a higher level.His book Big Country with an Empty nest reflects on China’s current population policy and stresses the reproductive rights of citizens.Although there are some flaws in his book,it has an important role in the history of modern demography.更多还原
