【Abstract】 For the analysis of contemporary social moral problems,we must go deep into the theory and practice of moder nity.Modernity contains a moral paradox.It has not only advanced the moral progress,but has also led to a moral dilemma.Its narrative of liberation has made human society confident of moral progress,but the excessive negation to tradition has resulted in the collapse of the progressive myth.It has formed independent and free individuals,but has also produced extreme individualism and fragmentation of social order.It has laid a solid material and intellectual foundation for moral progress,but has also made the ethical power declining and eventually made it subject to the capital.It has helped democratic ideal and institution win over the people,but has also brought the evil of totalitarianism.It has realized religious disenchantment and brought the recession of theological beliefs,but has also made belief crisis becoming a common social psychological problem.The supremacy of scientific and technological rationality has determined that the construction of universal moral norm is the direction of ethics,but the effort is doomed to fail because of the ignorance of the realistic goals.The critique of modernity is not the negation of modernity,but the making up of the defects of modernity,so that it can serve human society better.更多还原
