【Abstract】 Chen Yinque attached great importance to the research and evaluation of historical figures and endeavored to make comparatively objective and fair evaluations of these figures. He drew many new conclusions that bodied forth his thoughts about historical studies. Independence and freedom,social progress and development,and historicism are among the criteria of evaluation he proposed. In his methodology of evaluation,he insisted on"thorough understanding"of historical figures and adopted a perspective approach. A systematic study of Chen Yinque’s philosophy in evaluating historical figures will further our understanding of Chen Yinque’s thoughts about historical studies and offer a significant reference for modern studies of historical figures.更多还原
