【Abstract】 Toni Morrison,the 1993 Noble Prize for Literature,is one of the most significant writers in contemporary American literature and Beloved is one of her masterpieces. As Denver in the novel is seldom analyzed,this article aims to explore the character from the perspectives of plot development,her family roles,community relationships and historical cognition.
