【Abstract】 The API 682 mechanical seal standard is widely applied in petrochemical, natural gas and chemical industries. This standard has an important effect on the design, manufacture and operation of mechanical seals. With the development of sealing technology, this standard is continuously improved and expanded on the aspects, such as sealing design, materials selections and piping cleaning.
