【Abstract】 The paper has provided a brief commentary on A General Survey of Linguistics by Wang Dechun. The author holds that the book is simple but profound, and is easy to understand. It is comprehensive, systematic and accurate regarding its content. The book has enriched the theory of modern linguistics and can well assist people in linguistic learning and research. In addition, some linguistic theories and principles advanced by the book may be instructive to language teaching and can be used to explain some phenomena available in the use of natural language and in intercultural communication as well.更多还原
