【Abstract】 The article introduced the basic idea of smart grid,the present situation of China’s distribution network,and the opportunities and challenges of smart distribution network. It also expounded the impetus,function composition,priority development field and key technology of smart grid,as well as the action of distributed generation on power system. Clarifying the basic idea of smart grid is of great importance to implement smart grid in China scientifically and efficiently.
