热处理与表面活性剂联合改性凹凸棒土的制备
Preparation of Attapulgite Modified by Heat Treatment and Surfactant
【摘要】 以200目的天然凹凸棒土为原料,以十八烷基三甲基氯化铵(OTAC)为改性剂,采用热处理和有机改性两种方法耦合改性凹凸棒土,利用红外光谱(IR)和扫描电子显微镜(SEM)对改性前后的凹凸棒土进行了表征。结果表明:经IR分析知,改性顺序为先热处理后OTAC改性处理,经改性后,实现了长碳链季铵盐阳离子对凹凸棒土的插层。经SEM分析知,经200~400℃煅烧后OTAC改性的凹凸棒土,表面呈现疏松多孔,孔隙容积和比表面积增大。当温度达500℃时,凹凸棒土的孔洞塌陷、纤维烧结堆积,孔隙容积和比表面积减小。亚甲基蓝的吸附实验表明:经200℃活化耦合OTAC改性的凹凸棒土对亚甲基蓝的饱和吸附量由99.4mg/g增大至162.9mg/g。
【Abstract】 With 200 mesh natural attapulgite as raw materials,and octadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride(OTAC)as modifier,two methods of heat treatment and organic modification were used to modify attapulgite.The modified attapulgite were characterized by infrared spectroscopy(IR)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The IR analysis shows that the suggested order of modification would be heat treatment first,followed by OTAC modification.After modification,achieved long chain quaternary ammonium cations intercalated into attapulgite,enhancing the hydrophobicity of attapulgite.The SEM results show that for OTAC modified attapulgite calcinated from 200 ℃to 400℃,its surfaces appear loose and porous,the void volume and specific surface area increase.When the calcination temperature reaches 500℃,holes in attapulgite collapse,fibers sinter and pile together,void volume and specific surface area both decrease.Methylene blue adsorption experiments show that attapulgite modified by coupling 200℃calcination with OTAC absorb the amount of methylene blue from 99.4mg/g to 162.9mg/g.
