【Abstract】 National 1:50 000 topographic database is one of the most widely used and most frequently used basic surveying and mapping production, as one of main contents of national fundamental geographic information database. It has been recognized that maintaining them up to date is an important mission of basic work for surveying and mapping. In 2012 State Administration of Surveying, Mapping and Geographic Information organized and implemented a rapid update of the database annually, released a new version annually.
