八倍频技术产生0.1THz光载太赫兹通信系统
Frequency octupling for 0.1 THz full-duplex Terahertz over fiber
【摘要】 研究了两个强度调制器级联产生八倍频光载太赫兹波的全双工传输系统。在传输系统的中心站,将两个矢量正交的12.5GHz射频信号分别调制到两个强度调制器上产生四阶光边带,再利用光纤布拉格光栅(fiber bragg gating,FBG)把上边带载波滤除,下行NRZ(no return zero)信号通过一个强度调制器(intensity modulator,IM)调制到上边带载波。在基站,有调制信号的一个边带与另一个边带形成间隔为0.1THz的单边带光载太赫兹信号,被interleaver滤除的中心载波作为上行的光载波,通过另一个强度调制器调制上行NRZ信号。仿真结果表明,在经过100km单模光纤传输后,上行和下行信号的眼图都较清晰,说明所提出的的太赫兹传输系统具有较好的抗色散性能。
【Abstract】 We have proposed a wavelength reuse scheme for a full-duplex 0.1 THz ROF system.In the central station,two cascaded Mach-Zehnder modulators have been used to produce fourth-order sidebands,the downlink data are modulated on the upper sideband and coupled with the original optical carrier and the lower sideband.At the base station,an interleaver is employed to separete the optical mm-wave and the original optical carrier.The pure optical carrier is modulated uplink data and transmitted back to the central station(CS).The simulation results show that 0.1 THz wave was generated by employing 12.5 GHz RF clock source,both uplink and downlink are modulated with 5 Gb/s baseband data,after transmitting 100 km SMF,and eye pattern opens clearly.This scheme can resist chromatic dispersion effectively and is suitable for long distance transimission.
