W波段高功率回旋行波管宽带输入窗设计
Design of Broad-Band Input Window for W-Band High Power Gyro Traveling Wave Tubes
【摘要】 利用场匹配理论和传输级联矩阵建立多层介质窗的分析方法,对回旋行波管输入窗进行解析分析。在理论分析的基础上,通过数值计算得到回旋行波管宽带输入窗的初步结构和尺寸,然后再利用三维高频分析软件HFSS进行仿真和验证。通过优化设计,在W波段获得了传输系数大于-0.04 dB,反射系数小于-20 dB的带宽大于8 GHz的宽带输入窗。冷测实验表明冷测结果与设计参数较为吻合。
【Abstract】 The broad-band input window for W-band high power gyro traveling wave tubes( TWT) was approximated,modeled,and calculated with the scattering matrix,derived in the mode-matching technique. First,the structure and geometry of the input widow were estimated by theoretical analysis and numerical calculation. Next,the field distributions of the window,designed on the basis of the estimated structure and geometry,were simulated with high frequency 3-dimension HFSS code to optimize the window design. The wide-band input window of W-band was successfully developed with its band-width wider than 8 GHz,when operating at a transmission coefficient,S21,above- 0. 04 dB,and a reflection coefficient,S11,below-20 dB. And finally,the cold test results were found to strongly support the optimized design of the input window.
