The influence of neonatal asphyxia on enterobacteria and humoral immunity
【Abstract】 Objective To investigate the influence of neonatal asphyxia on enterobacteria and humoral immunity. Methods Twenty-six patients of neonatal asphyxia and 26 normal newborns were selected randomly. The serum IgA, IgG and IgM were detected from 24 to 48 hours after born. Meanwhile, excrement was culture in vitro to detect the bacterial colony number of bacillus bifidus and enterococcus. The correlation between bacterial colony number and humoral immunity was analyzed. Results In neonatal asphyxia group, 24 to 48 hours after born, the level of serum IgA and IgM was decreased compared to normal newborns. Excrement culture shown that the bacterial colony number of bacillus bifidus and enterococcus was decreased too, and positively correlated with serum IgA and IgM. Conclusion Neonatal asphyxia could postpone the field planting of enterobacteria, and then inhibit the humoral immunity.
