【Abstract】 The Chinese stock market has made a few people super rich while hurting the majority of other investors.This is wrong and not the purpose of a healthy market,Yuan Xucheng,deputy secretary-general of China Society of Economic Reform,says.The reason most people lose,he argues,is because the market defies common economic sense.The method of stock evaluation,which relies on indicators such as priceto-earnings ratio,interest rates and GDP growth rate,works well in foreign capital markets but not in China because it does not factor in the influence of the government’s intervention in stock prices.A more reliable method of evaluating Chinese stocks,he says,relies on property prices and the expected yields of private lending and bank wealth management products.However,he says,absent systemic reform,speculators will continue to determine the fate of most Chinese stocks.更多还原
