【摘要】 本文基于汉语原创文学和翻译文学语料库(1915-1949),考察翻译汉语的特点。假设是:翻译处于整个文学系统的中心位置和边缘位置时,翻译语言具有不同的特点。研究发现:1)翻译的普遍性假说忽略了翻译与社会文化语境的关系,不适用于所有的翻译现象。2)翻译汉语的特征是不固定的,具有阶段性特点。这种特点与翻译在整个文学系统中的地位息息相关。更多还原

【Abstract】 This paper investigates the linguistic features of English-Chinese translations(1915-1949) by subjecting them to a corpora-based comparison with the non-translated texts of literary Chinese published in the same period.Motivated by the hypothesis that Chinese-English translation would show different features when it is variously positioned(i.e.,either in the center or at a peripheral position of the whole literary system),we find that 1.Baker’s conception of"translation universals" fails to take into consideration the interferences from the source text and the contextual culture,therefore may not be applicable to the whole translation studies;and 2.far from being fixed,the linguistic features of English-Chinese translations vary periodically,with the shifting of the position translation occupies in the whole literary system.更多还原
