【Abstract】 βB2-crystallin is the most abundant in the β family crystallin and constitutes the major portion of the vertebrate eye lens,which plays a major role in the maintenance of lens transparency and refraction.In recent years,βB2 gene has also been shown to be expressed in some extralenticular tissues,where it plays certain roles and in particular has a major impact on reproduction.The function and the mechanism of β B2-crystallin in the lens and extralenticular tissues have been the focus of recent studies.Here is to make a review on recent progresses in the understanding of the function and the possible mechanism of βB2-crystallin.更多还原
