【Abstract】 Tamiflu,as a medicine to prevent and treat H7N9 avian flu,achieved its sales peak of USD 3 billion in 2009.Roche scientists improved the original production process of Tamiflu by using shikimic acid to replace quinic acid and solved the raw material supply problem of large scale production.Shikimic acid is mainly extracted from aniseed originating in China.With the strict patent protection,Roche has exclusive privilege in relevant market.This case indicates the importance of technical innovation for the development of pharmaceutical enterprise.China should vigorously carry out the innovation in pharmaceutical field to boost the growth of national pharmaceutical enterprises.更多还原
