【Abstract】 Chinese textbooks are an important medium, and through them the citizen ideas, history and the future are represented. From The Notes on Xinjiang Boarder Defence to the contemporary writers’ works like those by Zhou Tao, Liu Chengliang, topics of Xinjiang have been playing an important role in middle school’s Chinese textbooks. With the development of society, choices of the topics have also adapted to represent Xinjiang views in different historical times.
