【Abstract】 The paper proposes a block truncation coding of true color(BTCTC) technology for color image of RGB space. Based on the characteristic of space redundancy between the images, the main idea of BTCTC is to divide the image into 4 ×4 pix-el block, and uses two pixels in the block to indicate the image block in order to compress the image.
