【Abstract】 Lionel McColvin is regarded as one of the most influential figures in the history of British librarianship.He carried out the survey of national public library which was initiated by British Library Association in 1942.On this basis,he wrote the well-known McColvin Report which exerted profound impact on the postwar development of public library in the UK.Also the report systematically and objectively pointed out the problems of British public libraries;the formation of the future planning of public libraries;the impact for the other report in the UK.更多还原
