【Abstract】 W.H.Donald lived in Beijing for 15 years from 1913 to 1928 and witnessed the whole process of the ups and downs of Yuan Shikai’s administration,the chaotic wartime under the warlords’rule,the fall of Northern China government and the rise of Kiang Kaishek.During this time,Donald played with all sorts of political forces and established a wide circle of his personal reations as well as his political career.As he was more and more involved in Chinese politics,Donald finally completed his change from a journalist to a politician.更多还原
