【Abstract】 Since it’s born, village fair has been a dula-role of production and comsumption in rural society for thousands of years. Under different socioeconomic status and policy in each period of history, the focus of the dual-role changes accordingly. Besides its basic function, as theas the special public space in rural society, village fair plays an important part of integration of rural society, which cannot be replaced by national power.
