【摘要】 利用受教育年限的同胞相关系数测算同胞共享的家庭背景与社区环境所带来的教育机会不均等,并用邻居相关系数单独考察社区效应在其中的相对贡献,本文考察了1999年快速教育扩张以来中国农村地区教育机会不均等变化趋势。结果表明:农村地区教育机会不均等略呈下降趋势,这主要源于社区效应的大幅下降,家庭效应虽略有下降但幅度较低。缩小农村地区教育获取的阶层差异仍须对劣势家庭实施"补偿性"原则,降低其教育成本并增加预期收益。更多还原

【Abstract】 Using sibling correlation coefficient for years of education to measure inequality of educational opportunities coming from family background and neighborhood environment shared by siblings,and using neighborhood correlation coefficient to measure the relative contributions of neighborhood effects,this paper explores the dynamics of inequality of educational opportunities since the rapid education expansion started from 1999.It is found that the inequality of educational opportunities in rural China shows a certain degree of decline.And it is mainly resulted from the decline in neighborhood effects,while the extent of family effect is much lower despite its somewhat downward trend.Our results show that,ff we want to further reduce the inequality of educational opportunities in rural China,the so-called Compensation Principle must be applied to reduce disadvantaged families’ education cost and increase their expected return.更多还原
