【Abstract】 Greatly obsessed by Chinese Zen art and hermit culture,Bill Porter,an American anthropologist and translator,devotes the latter half of his life in translating Zen doctrine and practicing Zen,and became gradually well-known in translation of Zen scriptures by Chinese readers.
