Based on a longitudinal case study of the development of Hangzhou software industrial cluster,the paper explores the network evolution during cluster upgrading process.We find that the basic story line of network evolution follows the sequence of entrepreneurial network,R&D network,Knowledge network,and the network types match with the upgrading phase including infancy,expansion and promotion.
