吸附重金属用活性炭对汞的去除特性研究
Study on mercury adsorption by powdered activated carbon for the heavy metals
【摘要】 以西江下游水源地发生汞污染为背景,研究了吸附重金属用粉末活性炭对汞的去除能力。小试研究了吸附重金属用粉末活性炭对汞的吸附特性,同时考察了活性炭种类、pH、天然有机物(NOM)和含盐量对除汞效果的影响。结果表明,吸附重金属用粉末活性炭的除汞效果优于常规活性炭,在pH为10.6,投加活性炭20 mg/L,接触60 min,对超标10倍的汞污染原水的去除率为73.6%。粉末活性炭对汞的平衡吸附容量随着NOM浓度和含盐量的增加而逐渐降低,但当溶液中NOM浓度和含盐量分别超过5.0 mg/L和500 mg/L时,NOM浓度和含盐量的再升高对粉末活性炭的除汞效果影响不大。通水量5 m3/h的中试运行结果基本与小试一致,粉末活性炭对汞的去除率为75.6%,粉末活性炭联合常规工艺对汞的去除率达到89.1%。
【Abstract】 In the background of mercury pollution occurred in downriver source water of Xijiang River,the removal efficiency of mercury by powdered activated carbon(PAC) for the heavy metals was studied.Jar tests were conducted to investigate the adsorption characteristics of PAC for the heavy metals,which also showed the influence of carbon types,pH value,natural organic matter(NOM) and salinity on the removal efficiency of mercury.The results showed that the PAC for the heavy metals had better performance than the conventional activated carbon in the removal of mercury.The removal efficiency of mercury which exceed the standard 10 times after PAC adsorption was 73.6%,when the pH,PAC dosage and adsorption time were 10.6,20 mg/L and 60 min,respectively.The equilibrium adsorption capacity of PAC was decreasing with the inecrease of the concentration of NOM and salinity.However,the influences of NOM and salinity were not obvious when their concentrations were more than 5.0 mg/L and 500 mg/L,respectively.The pilot test results with 5 m3/h flow rate proved to be consistent with the jar test results.The mercury removal efficiency of PAC was 75.6%,while the combination process of PAC and coagulation reached 89.1%.
