PPMgLN用于光参量振荡实现低阈值2μm激光
Low Threshold 2μm Laser Based on Optical Parametric Oscillator Using PPMgLN
【摘要】 报道了使用MgO掺杂摩尔分数为5%的周期性极化铌酸锂晶体(PPMgLN)的高重复频率、低阈值的2μm激光器。理论计算了1.064μm激光抽运PPMgLN时,极化周期与温度的对应关系。实验对比了双极化周期PPMgLN晶体(极化周期分别为32.2μm和32μm)的转换效率。重点对转换效率较高的极化周期(32μm)进行了振荡阈值的实验分析。在满足转换效率不低于40%的前提下,实现了振荡阈值为0.046MW/cm2、近简并波长(信号光波长2.05μm、闲频光波长2.236μm)的激光输出。
【Abstract】 High repetition frequency and low threshold laser with wavelength of 2μmis reported using periodically poled MgO-doped lithium niobate(PPMgLN)with doped concentration of 5%.A2μmlaser is obtained with PPMgLN pumped by a1.064μmlaser and the corresponding relation between polarization period and the temperature is calculated.In experiments,the comparison of the efficiencies of two different polarization periods(32.2μm and32μm)is carried on.We focus on the polarization period that has higher efficiency(32μm)and conduct the experimental analysis of the oscillation threshold.Under the condition of the conversion efficiency is not less than40%,the laser output with oscillation threshold of 0.046 MW/cm2 at near degenerate point(signal wavelength of2.05μm,idler wavelength of 2.236μm)is achieved.
