【Abstract】 Beckett’s Waiting for Godot has impressed the audience with simple plots,poor characterizations,monotonous and messy lines,and shabby props.However,all of these are meant by Beckett to represent a truthful miniature of the contemporary life and to stage the universal truth of human existence-nothingness and uncertainty,lack of communication and sense of time,triviality and monotony.It is by means of such simplicity that Beckett presents a vivid manifestation of the meaninglessness and absurdity of modern life.更多还原
