AIM:To evaluate the clinical effects of vitrectomy in treating infectious endophthalmitis after cataract surgery.METHODS:Totally 17 cases(17 eyes) suffered from infectious endophthalmitis after cataract surgery were analyzed retrospectively, endophthalmitis were treated with vitrectomy, postoperative follow-up of 3 months to 24 months.RESULTS:After vitrectomy, intraocular infection of 17 cases was controlled, the vision improved at different degree, and all the eyeballs were saved.CONCLUSION:Timely vitrecto...
