【Abstract】 Roland Barthes’ The Empire of Signs is a book about the Japan’s society,culture and life from the perspective of semiology in his period of deconstruction.In the investigation of the signs in Japan’s society and culture,Barthes cast off the viewpoint of structuralist semiology with the characteristics of"scientification"and"systematization"under Saussure’s influences and comprehended the characteristics of "emptiness"and"nothingness"in Japan’s symbolic phenomenon.There is a schism between the signifier and the signified,and the signifier does not correspond with the single or ultimate signified any more.At the same time,the meaning of signs has been postponed and secluded limitlessly.With this new reflection and comprehension about signs,Barthes finally completed his transformation into deconstruction.更多还原
